Induction brazing uses electromagnetic energy to concentrate heat at the joint, helping limit thermal exposure elsewhere in the assembly. Galaxy applies this manual process to smaller, lower-volume parts, step-brazed assemblies, and other applications where localized heating and experienced operator control are important.
Galaxy’s experienced technicians perform hands-on torch brazing for critical aerospace assemblies, including copper and aluminum components. Localized heat application and close control of alloy flow make torch brazing suitable for joints where operator judgment, material knowledge, and careful thermal management are essential.
Galaxy uses hydrogen retort furnaces to provide uniform heating in a clean, reducing atmosphere. This flux-free process is well suited to assemblies with multiple joints, distortion-sensitive geometries, and demanding cleanliness requirements. Brazing and annealing can also be combined within a single controlled furnace cycle.
Galaxy performs GTAW, also known as TIG welding, for thin-wall aerospace and defense components, including material as thin as .015 inch. Our capabilities include autogenous and filler-metal welding on steel, stainless steel, precipitation-hardening stainless steel, Inconel, and aluminum.
Galaxy’s continuous-belt exothermic-atmosphere furnaces support efficient production of compatible aerospace and defense assemblies. Components move through controlled heating and cooling zones in a continuous process, making this approach capable of higher production quantities, established thermal cycles, and applications requiring controlled time at brazing temperature.
